guitar cupcakes / guitar cupcake cake

i made this guitar cupcake cake for my bro in law's 19th bday. he loves playing the guitar...so this is what i came up with. i was looking through my house for something that would work as guitar strings, and found these retro candy dots..they were perfect! i then found some yellow spree's & put them on for more added fun. the lightning bolts are even edible {i used a lightning bolt cookie cutter and chocolate candy melts}. if you look close the ribbon says "rock king" {i got it at michaels last year along with the silver "rocker" letters}.

So cute! I am new to all of this and am doing a Dora the Explorer party for my neighbor. I made alot of cupcake picks but am searching for a good thick frosting that will hold up for the picks. I love your Pinkalicious cupcakes and the way the frosting looks. Also the chocolate frosting on the boy scout cupcakes. Would you share your recipes? I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks, Debbie
